I opened Studio Sarchuk in my community of Stittsville, Ontario in November 2007, three years after I began painting. What you will see here, in my virtual studio, is a reflection of my work since then.

As an intuitive painter, my art is an expression of inner feeling rather than the outer world. First, I lay down colour, not knowing what the final outcome will be. Then, I build a composition using form and colour and react to what emerges to create a finished piece. In any event, the end product, it seems, is a result of a symbiotic relationship between me and my painting.

I am inspired by human emotions and my growing awareness of their importance in coming to know our own inner most needs and self.

Through my art, I do not offer an interpretation, but rather an invitation to each one, to reach for, and connect to, the depth and breadth of your emotions within.

thereby escape from its own incompleteness”
